Why Business Owners Should Invest In The Clover POS

By Betty Edwards

Payment transactions are part of the business process that was first made to be digital. This gives both business owners a better way of documenting and keeping track of the transactions that happen. A POS or Point of Sale system is essentially a cash register that does more and makes the whole accounting process so much easier.

This set up is basically comprised with a terminal, monitor, printer, scanner and even one that can process both debit and credit cards. The special thing about the Clover POS system is how it is connected to the cloud. Now that is another term that is not exactly familiar. A cloud is the term used for a virtual database or file cabinet that help keep and process information.

Apart from the benefits that any system gets from the cloud, this particular POS is specially designed for the purpose of business. This does not only extend to the software but also the hardware. It is essentially a tablet, With a stand, a scanner and a printer. The more common and old school ones that are still used have the same set up, only bulkier and with limited features.

The tablet is touch screen, of course and using it would feel a lot like using your phone. Since devices now have a tendency to connect to other networks like the WiFi or other devices, many may ask if Clover has security issues. The best thing about this is how the hardware itself is especially built for the POS purpose.

Aesthetically, the hardware is white and sleek. It gives a somewhat Apple vibe only it is not as expensive. All the plugs are properly color coded and makes setting it up easy. The stand is flexible and lets the tablet swing around the 360 degrees so customers can use the interface for signatures when using their credit cards.

The design is very Apple like with its white and silver chasis. This is designed to also process hardware and software without needing any extra keypads and equipment. All of these things can be done through the touch screen tablet and scanner. The printer is also relatively small so the whole set up does not have to take up so much space in the counter.

While there may be the argument that these customized applications may be a threat to security, Clover has made it a point to review third party applications and make sure they are safe for download for users. These application need to be bought though and the prices are determined by the developer that made it.

Clover also offers customer support but is specifically for their built in applications. Third party services are also independent when it comes to their own customer support. POS systems are supposed to make the whole sales process easier which also includes procurement of supplies and products especially when they are about to run out.

With this new breed of POS systems, you are guaranteed more accurate results that cater to all your needs including inventory for supplies that are about to run out. The highly advanced and digital nature of this system allows better record keeping through the cloud and does not risk loss of data. You even have control over the system via mobile as long as there is connectivity.
